In direct correlation to my desire to help produce substantial change, the latest addition to the Bernadette Thompson brand will include a nail color aptly named “J.U.S.T.IC.E.”– which is an acronym for Just Unify Successfully To Incorporate Compassion Everywhere. The goal of this campaign is to demonstrate how responding with compassion will help improve some of our society’s deepest pains. It is in this sprit that the J.U.S.T.I.C.E campaign will donate a portion of the proceeds to help members of our society rebuild their lives after tragedies has ensued. Specifically, this campaign, which will evolve into an actual foundation, will identify families or individuals who have experienced a personal tragedy. Each month a separate group will be identified and assisted. The first identified group will be rape survivors. While we are unable to provide the type of justice they deserve, we have the power to demonstrate compassion. Through partnerships with community activist and appropriate legal representatives, we will provide financial donations directly to the survivors in hopes of assisting with any fiscal cost associated with their healing process. With the launch of “J.U.S.T.I.C.E” nail color I intend to incorporate this message on a broad scale. In addition to the capital that will be used to help support the above-mentioned groups, customers will get the opportunity to show their support for the campaign by simply wearing the color. When you purchase the color you are helping us to unite and spread compassion everywhere. We ask that you also demonstrate your support by helping to create a huge social media presence for the J.U.S.T.I.C.E campaign. Feeling proud of your purchase? Finally, at the root of many of the social problems we face today is a lack of compassion and unification. It’s easy to become consumed in our own private world and forget that society is full of people that need our compassion everywhere. When we forget this we are committing one of the biggest injustice of them all.
